A NOTE FROM J. HAMILTON HAINESDear Meredy,
You certainly have my happy permission to make a gallery - I'd be delighted and thank you.
As to a short bio: I've been painting all my life, went to Abilene Christian University and the University of Louisville, raised my family and am now widowed and back to my happy fun-work full time.
The reason I love GWTW is because of the Old South past that I live in now. Battles of the Civil War were actually fought in this city and the CSA boys are buried under the magnolias nearby. The Yankees are in a corner of the cemetery and very recently ladies from the East fussed around about them having no markers so our ladies said, "If you want markers - come down and put them up." That war will never be really over, nor will GWTW. Good managed to win throughout and it was a most powerful replay of things that actually happened. Margaret Mitchell wrote the perfect novel, the movie was also perfect and so both will endure as few novels and few movies ever do.Best wishes,
J. Hamilton Haines
