ImageScramble Versions 1 and 2

ImageScramble v1.0 for Windows is a remake of the famous 15puzzle. The puzzle consists of puzzle pieces inside a box. The goal is to reconstruct the picture. You can slide the pieces around using the mouse or the cursor keys. Of course, all puzzles are solvable. If you can't do it try harder :-)

You can select any bitmap picture (.BMP files) as the puzzle background. You must place the .BMP files in the same folder as the ImageScramble program. Also, you can select any grid size from 3x3 up to 15x15.

Although you can use any BMP file, it is recommended that you use a picture with a 4/3 size ratio. For example 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 or 1280x1024.

I’ve included three pix: Hart to Hart, Stefanie Powers and Robert Wagner.

On the main menu, you can press + and - to change the grid size, G to toggle the grid and N to toggle the numbers. When numbers are displayed, the pieces are numbered ascending from the top-left corner down to the bottom-right corner.

Start the game by selecting a picture at the bottom of the screen. During the game, you can still press G and N to toggle the grid and the numbers, and you can press ESC to go back to the main menu. From the main menu, you can press ESC to exit to Windows.

ImageScramble v2.0 for Windows is a remake of the famous 15puzzle and a follow up to ImageScramble v1.0. The puzzle consists of tiles which need to be shuffled around to reconstruct the original picture. You can slide the tiles using the cursor keys or by clicking the mouse.

Select any bitmap (*.BMP) or JPEG (*.JPG) picture as the puzzle background by simply choosing 'Open picture' from the 'Game' menu or drag-and-drop the image file onto the program.

Press the PageUp or PageDown keys to cycle through all pictures located in the same folder as the opened picture.

From the 'Zoom' menu, you can increase or decrease the picture size by selecting a zoom factor other than 100%. This can come in handy when the picture is too big or too small. Select 100% for normal picture size.

I’ve included three pix: Hart to Hart, Stefanie Powers and Robert Wagner.

On the 'Settings' menu you can adjust the grid size and border size. You can toggle the grid, tile numbers, time display and moves display on or off.

When tile numbers are displayed, the tiles are numbered ascending from the top-left corner down to the bottom-right corner.

ImageScramble v2.0 was programmed with Borland Delphi 5.0 by Meredy.
